This necklace has taken a while (over a year) to finish. I bought a bag of old shoe buckles at the thrift shop and used one to alter to make the pendant, then adding the cording and chain was the easy part. It took me a while to decide how to keep the cording and chain under control. The charms are from a pair of earrings, and I had enough to make earrings to go with the necklace.
Altered box (Maya Road ordered from Altered Pages) aged with copper rub'n'buff and patina rub'n'buff, the inside has background paper, altered scrabble tile, rusty clothespin hinge, copper microbeads, copper beads on the catch, I used leather cording and copper beads on necklace.
