Beautiful Sunday

Finished another Maya Road tin pendant - I'm loving making these little wearable shadowboxes.

Bowl 3 - Series 2: "Citrus"  Celluclay, acrylic paint, mulberry papers, "Strawberry Daiquiri" Memory Mists, and iridescent green and yellow glass beads.

Bowl 4 - Series 2: "Afternoon Walk" this one is palm size it is celluclay too with handmade papers lining the inside and a gathering of moss, a Japanese Maple leaf, palm seeds, rock, pieces of a long hoarded robin's egg shell among other things.  I drilled holes around the edge of the bowl with my dremel and decided to sew aged twine (from Bundle 2) to the edge with heavy duty carpet thread.  About the third round I decided to keep going and cover the back with the twine, sewing it together basket style.  Ok, I didn't make a photo of the back because it is messy, my stitches are so far from evenly layed out and consistent it isn't funny, but this was just a practice run for me anyway, just to see if I could do it and how it would look basically.  So next time I'll do better and spend more time making sure to get it uniform.  My hands are sore but I'm satisfied with the end result and it was a nice calming way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
